Tempest is a woman-owned atelier tucked away in downtown Kelowna, BC. A safe and loving space for all people, no matter what you look like, or what makes you who you are — all people are welcome here — as long as you are kind!
This bright and eclectic hidden gem is the perfect place to go and make art, or leave with it. Tempest offers a high-end tattoo experience carefully curated with love and filled with good people and good energy, every time. We put our whole hearts into making the experience wonderful for you from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out.
Upon arrival, you are met with our always warm artists and welcomed to the Community Art Table, where we invite any creative person at any skill level to hang out with other creatives making something cool.
Our studio is a made with love, visually pleasing, and comforting experience — definitely a place you wouldn’t mind being in pain for prolonged periods of time. It is also the perfect place for photo ops in every corner, and we love more than anything to see you expressing yourself in our studio.

Why “Tempest”?
Life always has its highs and lows, but we prevail.
Nico wanted a name, a brand, a home that reflected that mentality.
Aside from being a violent storm, ‘The Tempest’ is a Shakespearean play. Nico loved the concept of coming out of a whirlwind storm as an unstoppable force, a stone that won’t break.
Or in this case - Sycorax, a witch who inhabited the island in The Tempest and was said to be all-powerful and terrible in a time of male dominion - much like the tattoo industry - and that’s how she adopted the name.
So come get tattooed at Tempest - a whirlwind storm of fun with your friendly neighbourhood girlgang!
