Hello Friend!

Thanks for your interest in doing a guest spot at Tempest Tattoo Atelier! We are excited to work with you.

Here is a comprehensive list of what you need to know for your guest spot. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask our shop owner Nico! You can email her at tempesttattooatelier@gmail.com but text is the fastest way to get her: +1 236-457-3411

GUEST ARTIST INFO

1. Daily rate for guests is $150 (you keep the rest) or a 70/30 split where we will calculate what we owe you and e-transfer you at the end of your trip! (You make 70%).

2. We are typically open Wednesday-Sunday 11-6pm but if you want to work a different schedule – we can work something out. At this time we're building up our walk-in presence in town and you’re welcome to partake, we will advertise your visit, but we recommend pre-booking appointments.

3. You are responsible for booking all of your own appointments and taking deposits for your clients (if you’re day rate). Please charge your normal rates (average rates in Kelowna range from 160-220).

4. We are a single-use shop, meaning we do not have an autoclave for sterilization, your tattoo machine equipment will need to be single use as well.

5. You are responsible for taking payments for your own clients (if you’re doing day rates) which means you will need to bring your own Square reader or similar, take cash, or do e-transfer. If you’re doing a 70/30 split, we have a Square reader.

6. We provide all disposable PPE. You need to bring your machines, tubes, needles, power supply, and any Ink you like to use. Please let us know what glove size you need so we can stock it!

7. Nico does all of the social media – so make sure to tag/collaborate @tempest.tattoo.atelier and she will hype up your guest spot. If you have any specific things you want to promote – let Nico know.

8. We require a copy of your up-to-date Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate and insurance at the time of your visit. The shop insurance does not cover you as a guest artist beyond natural disaster. .

9. We do Flash Days every 3rd Saturday of the month and take walk-ins during our regular open hours, you are welcome to join us but not obligated to participate.

10. We also have an integrity contract that all artists must sign to work at TTA, it can be emailed ahead of time and signed, or in person prior to appointments. We will provide you with our client waiver to have your clients sign as per our shop policies.
